I think people think I’m fucking around or being silly, following Kayden Kross on twitter, tumblr, watching her talk show with Dane Hansen. But as far as I am concerned, this women is one of the most interesting and intelligent people I’ve ever observed. She is honestly a role model to me… however much distaste I have for the phrase “role model”, and however seemingly fucked up a role model a porn star might make. But there is a genuine charm to someone so openly sexual but so intelligent, who doesn’t sacrifice her intelligence and wit and love of reading for her business. It’s okay to love sex. It’s okay to be intelligent. It’s okay to love sex and be intelligent at the same time; indulgence in carnality doesn’t negate thinking. I will say that I dislike, hate even, the word and connotations of “feminism”. It’s just plain stupid and ignorant: if you need to advocate feminism, you’re not a strong or original enough person to begin with—although I’m sure that statement sounds ignorant in and of itself— and there is no reason to assume that women need to act like men. Women should be women. It’s okay to be dominated and wear girly clothes for god fucking sake, and if you need to state that you are as powerful as a man, you have already proved yourself less powerful than a man. But Miss Kross is in a different niche entirely; I really have that much respect for her. You can like penis, ladies. You can admit you like penis. And you can also be kind and respectful (and respectED) and intelligent.
